Our products are crafted for durability and everyday adventure using genuine BioThane®. They should be matched to your dog's size and activity level. They are not rated to specific pull or load thresholds, so selecting the right product for your dog is essential.


Due to lighting and monitor differences, actual colors may vary slightly from what appears online.


We recommend handwashing your BioThane® gear with mild soap and water and drying it with a soft cloth. Please keep in mind that brass hardware will tarnish (patina) over time, regularly polishing/cleaning the hardware will minimize tarnishing. Our Silver (Nickel plated) and Matte Black hardware can show wear and tear over time, however, this is normal and does not affect the integrity of the hardware. To clean the Nickel Plated and Matte Black hardware, we recommend washing with mild soap and water and drying with a soft cloth.

Important Note: Please make sure to always thoroughly dry all hardware after use in any water, especially salt water. This will help to prevent the hardware from rusting.

Not all waterproof material is created equal; we use only Genuine BioThane® on every product we make.

BioThane® is a polymer-coated webbing that performs like leather without the drawbacks. It's waterproof, won't mold or mildew, and resists most common pet and outdoor odors. A quick rinse is all it takes to clean. BioThane® is manufactured in the USA.

While BioThane® repels most dirt and grime, it is not completely stain-proof in all circumstances. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water will keep your gear looking its best.

Which hardware finish should I choose?

For Collars: Solid Brass stays looking like new with regular cleaning. Silver (Nickel-Plated) and Matte Black (Zinc Alloy) are plated finishes that stay sharp with minimal upkeep. Nickel-Plated and Matte Black D-rings are lighter in weight. Regular use on plated finishes will affect appearance over time, but won't impact performance. We only use PVD Black D-rings, which includes a finishing process that bonds an ultra-thin layer of material directly to the surface of the solid brass d-ring hardware at the molecular level. The result is a finish that is significantly harder, more scratch-resistant, and more durable than standard paint, powder coat, or plating.

Rinse and dry all hardware thoroughly after any exposure to water.

Can I customize the colors?

Yes — choose your collar and leash colors independently to create your own combination.

Are BioThane leashes and collars waterproof?

Yes, 100% waterproof. Won't absorb water, and resists most pet and outdoor odors. Perfect for beach trips, river walks, and rainy days.

What size collar do I need?

Measure your dog's neck at the base. Take your dog's coat into consideration. You should be able to slip 1–2 fingers between the collar and neck. If between sizes, size up. Refer to our size guide

Do I need to condition my BioThane leash and collar? 

No. Unlike leather, BioThane requires no conditioning, oiling, or special treatment. Just rinse with water and wipe dry — that's it.
